Welcome to the Blackboard Course Action Request system!
From here you will be able to:
- Request a new Blackboard course
- Request your Instructor guest accounts
- Check the status of your requests
In order to use BbCAR, you will need to first login with your UNF faculty/staff user ID and password. (These are the same as those which you use to login to your campus computer, myWings Portal, and also your Blackboard username and password.)
When you receive the login prompt, if you see a Domain field, please use the following example for how you should enter your login information:
- Username: jqpublic
- Password: mypassword
- Domain: UNFCSD
If you do not see the Domain field, please use this example for how to enter your login information:
- Username: UNFCSD\jqpublic
- Password: mypassword
UNF faculty and staff can request that a Bb course be set up for one
of two general purposes:
- For use in a course listed in the official UNF Course Schedule ("term-based")
to be used for that particular term
- For ongoing use not associated with an academic course ("non-term-based"),
such as:
- "Group" courses - administrative groups, UNF-sanctioned
organizations, etc. (Note that these types of Bb courses must
have a sponsoring faculty or staff member, someone who will be
responsible for the course.)
- "Development" courses - sites for learning how to
use Bb or for developing future courses
Before you can request a Bb course, you must have a UNF faculty/staff
computer account. If you do not already have a faculty/staff account,
you will need to request one through your department. Please refer to
the Faculty/Staff
Computing Guide for more information.
Please note the following:
- BbCAR is the only method through which course requests will
be accepted. No other form of communication (e-mails, voice
messages, and in-person requests) will be honored.
- Course requests can be made any time, year round.
The courses you will be teaching in a future term will be available
for requesting term-based Bb courses as soon as they are posted in
the Student Records system.
- New Bb courses for term-based courses must be requested
each term, and old course sites should not be reused with
students in a subsequent term.
- Since accounts for all UNF students, faculty and staff members are
automatically created in Bb, you can add any person at UNF
to any of your courses through the course Control Panel who will not
already be enrolled automatically. No Bb Administrator intervention
is required.
